The policy
When we learn that something on this site is factually wrong, we fix it. Substantive corrections — anything that could have changed a reader's buying decision — are logged on this page with the date and what changed. We do not silently edit a conclusion and leave the page looking as though it always said that.
Logged publicly
- A specification we published was wrong.
- A recommendation or ranking changed because the underlying evidence was wrong.
- We attributed a feature to the wrong product or model.
- A source we cited turned out not to support the claim we attached to it.
- Anything on the site implied first-hand testing we did not do.
Fixed without a log entry
- Typos, grammar, and formatting.
- Broken or redirected links.
- Routine scheduled updates where a specification legitimately changed because the product changed.
- Removing a product that has been discontinued.
How errors get found
Two ways. Readers tell us — see contact, and please include the source document if you have it. And our own maintenance schedule re-checks cited sources, product availability, and links on a recurring basis, which catches the quiet kind of error where a manufacturer revised a specification without announcing it.
Correction record
No corrections have been issued yet. PickPrism is a new publication, and this record starts empty and honest. It will not stay empty forever — when the first correction is needed it will appear here.
Retractions
If a guide turns out to be wrong in a way that cannot be fixed by editing — a recommendation built on evidence that does not hold — we retract it. A retracted article keeps its URL, carries a clear notice explaining what was wrong, and is removed from the sitemap and search listings. We do not quietly delete pages to make a mistake disappear.
